The trees have called, and I have answered :-)
Guess what?! I'm officially a certified Sylvotherapy Practitioner! I'm so excited to share my passion for the healing power of trees with you. I've just completed my certification, and I'm itching to get out into nature and put my new knowledge into practice.

Did you know that spending time in nature can have profound benefits for your physical and mental well-being?
Sylvotherapy, also known as forest bathing or shinrin-yoku (the Japanese term), is the practice of immersing oneself in nature, particularly forests, to improve physical and mental well-being. It involves consciously connecting with the natural environment through your senses – sight, sound, smell, touch, and even taste – to experience the therapeutic benefits that trees and forests offer.
Surrounded by trees, I've always felt a deep sense of calm. Since we invested in our Upstate property, I escape to the woods weekly. The energy they radiate, the serene beauty of their silence, the inspiring strength of their annual rebirth each spring, the sweet scent of their blossoms, and the crisp freshness of their rain-kissed autumn leaves... simply being among them nourishes my very being.
A sylvotherapy session is designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance well-being. We explore the forest at a leisurely pace, allowing the natural environment to work its magic. The phytoncides released by the trees, the negative ions in the air, and the calming sounds of nature all contribute to a sense of peace and tranquility. We engage in guided activities, such as nature observation and mindful breathing, to deepen our connection with the forest and experience its therapeutic benefits. It's a journey of self-discovery and a chance to experience the restorative power of trees. We leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and more connected to ourselves and the natural world.
Would you like to join me for a walk in the woods and experience the magic of sylvotherapy firsthand?
