A new year, A new hope, A new resolution

Updated: Jan 3, 2021

Happy New Year!

We made it through 2020. Not sure yet how much that means, but let's just take a moment to acknowledge it.

The year of 2020 has taught us a lot. The adversity we face and the resilience we respond with has the power to shape our lives. With each challenge, we are given the opportunity to learn and grow stronger, more compassionate and more grateful human beings.

The world is interconnected, humans are adaptive and life is more flexible than we think.

Each of us has the opportunity for change every day, not only for our own good, but for the planet that we are all living on.

“Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them... they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight.”— Orison Swett Marden, writer.

A new hope?

A new resolution?

Let's try to create new habits that are easy, yet sustainable and provide incredible benefit to our overall health and well being.

Be grateful. Prioritize sleep. Drink more water. Move your body. Eat more vegetables and Fruit. Eat slower. Breathe deeply.

Could a Plan Help?

The easiest way to turn a dream into reality is one step at a time:

Change is not progress, but progress requires change.

Learn how to finally change a habit, keep a resolution and make a dream come true:

  • Big or small, your realistic goals can be reached in the same manner. Choose one thing to get done. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

  • Identify what would make you happier. Identify what is it that could improve your health. Identify the steps you can take to get closer to your goal. Identify what scares you most. Ask yourself: What’s the worst thing that could happen if I face this fear? Write down the worst-case scenario, and also write how you would confront it.

  • Identify a small reward for yourself once you’ve accomplished that activity.

  • Then just do it. Complete and check that task off your list.

  • Now treat yourself to the reward, rejoice, and celebrate!

  • Repeat the above steps as many times as necessary and watch yourself get happier and healthier by pursuing what you love.

Life is precious. Be grateful for what we have.

Wishing everyone happiness and peace!
